▶ Conclusion of an MOU for Seoul Underground City with QIM in Canada

A group of delegates including Sunjin Engineering & Architecture’s Representative Director You Sang-chun and Vice Chairman You Tae-sung visited the head office of QIM (Quartier International de Montreal) in Montreal, Canada to conclude an MOU (memorandum of understanding) with the representative Clement Demers for the implementation of feasibility studies on Seoul Underground City on December 14.

QIM is a public corporation established for the development of Montreal Underground City by the Montreal city government in Canada, which has excellent advantages across the world for its experience and achievement for the development of underground facilities and spaces.

This MOU aims at the technological cooperation between Sunjin Engineering & Architecture and QIM, which will lead to the great competitiveness for Sunjin Engineering & Architecture in participating in the project for Seoul Underground City.

Sunjin Engineering & Architecture has a great desire for Seoul Underground City where it can sufficiently demonstrate its long know-how along with a number of achievements in developing the underground spaces with the urban planning. Especially, it expects good performance for the ‘master plan service proposal for the development of underground and three-dimensional city’ to which this MOU is first applied, along with a number of achievements even in the projects that would be followed in the future.

▶ Conclusion of an MOU for a Joint Venture with The Robbins Company in the U.S.

Sunjin Engineering & Architecture’s Representative Director You Sang-chun concluded an MOU (memorandum of understand) for a joint venture in Korea with Representative Director Lok Home at the Hong Kong Branch of The Robbins Company on November 20.

The Robbins Company is a company specialized in the construction machinery across the world with its head office in Ohio in the U.S. and especially, the company has great strengths in TBM. The company is proud of its experience on the participation in more than 100 tunnel projects across the world, while accumulating its technological abilities and records for machinery in the underground construction for over 50 years from 1960s.

Especially, the utilization of TBM is expected to grow up rapidly in the future as many construction projects are expected in various long tunnels for the grand train express project such as deep road tunnels among others in addition to the deep metropolitan express railways in which Sunjin Engineering & Architecture is actively participating.

Sunjin Engineering & Architecture could secure the world-level technological supports in TBM from the conclusion of this MOU and the competitiveness that has been differentiated as such is expected to lead to the active achievements for projects in various tunnels in the future.
