The purpose is to prevent additional flooding damages in response to the heavy rainfall of 110mm per hour that occurred on August 8, 2022, which caused numerous inundation damages in Yeongdeungpo-gu. To achieve this, plans will be formulated for improving square-grid structures and expanding sections of Daebangcheon, as well as devising maintenance measures such as upgrading, expanding, and relocating aging and defective sewer pipelines.
