The Songsan Green City Digital Logistics Demonstration City Establishment Project is an initiative designed to lead the way in implementing a digital-based urban logistics system to adapt to changes in the logistics paradigm.
Through the planning of a digital logistics demonstration city considering appropriate logistics infrastructure, the project aims to address urban logistics issues arising from the growth of daily life logistics, enhance the level of daily life logistics services, and achieve carbon neutrality.
By establishing environmentally friendly joint delivery centers and introducing a joint delivery system, the project realizes carbon neutrality by maximizing the loading capacity of daily life logistics delivery vehicles within Songsan Green City, thereby reducing traffic congestion within the city.
Three different zones, namely, joint housing, individual housing, and commercial areas, have been selected to test the innovative logistics system currently available, with the goal of planning a futuristic digital logistics demonstration zone that can introduce these systems when the technology for future delivery mobility is commercially viable and when regulatory improvements are in place.
To optimize logistics within the city, the project proposes the conceptualization and provision of a digital logistics integrated operation platform that processes, analyzes, and provides logistics companies' data along with the city's public data, making it usable throughout the entire logistics process.
