The expansion and facility improvement of the Goheung Airport Center's runway are crucial projects aimed at promoting regional aviation activities and having a positive impact on the economy of the Goheung region. A basic plan has been carried out to address soil and foundation issues that may arise during the runway expansion.
In order to secure the operation safety of aircraft, prevent aircraft accidents, develop technology in the aviation field, and establish a foundation for the development of the underdeveloped domestic civil aviation industry, the basic and implementation design for the construction of a runway for a national comprehensive flight performance test site capable of performing tests and supporting the safety and performance of aircraft, aircraft parts, and navigation equipment
