Establish a basic plan for the construction of a runway for a national comprehensive flight performance test site capable of conducting and supporting tests to prove safety and performance of aircraft, aircraft parts, and navigation equipment in order to secure the operation safety of aircraft, prevent aircraft accidents, and establish a foundation for the development of the domestic civil aviation industry such as the certification system.

The runway expansion and facility improvement of the Goheung Aviation Center is an important project aimed at promoting local aviation activities and having a positive impact on the economy of the Goheung region. A basic plan has been carried out to address soil and foundation issues that may arise during the runway expansion.
