This facility is designed as an open space for communication and interaction among the residents of Yeongdeungpo-gu and as a complex sports and cultural space for health and learning. It has a total of 5 above-ground floors and 3 basement levels, featuring a steel-reinforced concrete structure with a design that incorporates double-glazed glass and aluminum composite panels. The facility includes a swimming pool, basketball court, indoor golf practice range, fitness center, and multipurpose learning spaces. The distinctive feature of this building is its exterior envelope. The building's facade consists of a double-glazed glass curtain wall as the base, surrounded by aluminum composite panels in the form of louvers, creating a dual-layered exterior. This design aims to optimize the indoor exercise spaces by planning for daylighting throughout the year and during the daytime. The angles of the louvers were analyzed using parametric techniques and 3D BIM design to incorporate them into the overall design.
