ClientMINISTRY OF JUSTICE

Year2011 - 2011

LocationJincheon, Korea

Scale Site Area: 687,100㎡
G.F.A.: 64,007㎡

This project involves relocating the training facility and accommodations for legal government officials. To enhance user convenience and streamline internal circulation, the various facilities required by the client, including the main building, lecture halls, dormitories, gymnasium, sports field, mock combat training facility, and guesthouse, were grouped into three main clusters and organized consistently. The geometric spine connecting these three clusters was intentionally designed to seamlessly integrate the buildings with the surrounding natural landscape, providing an experience akin to a resort. It also establishes a direct connection between the natural environment and the structures to create a comfortable atmosphere.

Furthermore, user-friendly designs were implemented for each facility to ensure that trainees and facility users would not encounter any inconveniences. The dormitories, in particular, were designed to provide the same level of comfort as one's own home. Each individual building within the Legal Training Institute maximizes energy efficiency and uses modern, sustainable materials to improve both the functionality and environmental performance of the structures. The design ensures eco-friendliness in response to climate and weather conditions while harmonizing seamlessly with the natural surroundings, achieving both functional and visually eco-friendly design.
