This project involves planning a memorial park within the Incheon Citizens' Hall. Surrounded by Manwol Mountain and Gwanghak Mountain, this park aims to serve not only as a funeral facility but also as a green communal space that harmonizes with its surroundings. The spatial design focuses on separating functions and connecting pathways to create a harmonious and nature-friendly memorial park.The main memorial hall, Bonghwadang, is three stories tall and spans an area of 5,573 square meters. The main lounge area is designed to receive natural light through the skylight, creating a cozy and solemn atmosphere for funeral ceremonies. The repeated design pattern on the limestone façade represents cup markings found on dolmens, symbolizing hope within the context of ancient beliefs and rituals from prehistoric times.
