Year2009 - 2009
LocationSeoul, Korea
Scale Storage Tank : V=2,530㎥
Based on the results of the feasibility study and basic planning for "Rainwater Detention Facility Feasibility Study and Basic Plan" conducted by the Seoul Metropolitan Government in April 2006, a basic plan has been established to alleviate flooding in the vicinity of San 47-16, Hwagokbon-dong, Gangseo-gu. In line with this plan, a rainwater detention facility will be installed underground at the Mugunghwa Park to temporarily store rainwater during heavy rainfall events. The purpose of this installation is to reduce the peak flood flow by storing rainwater temporarily, thereby reducing the flood burden on drainage systems and downstream areas. This will enhance flood prevention and drainage safety, ultimately safeguarding the lives and property of residents.
