In the concentrated rainfall area of the Bukhansan watershed, the installation of rainwater detention basins is aimed at actively utilizing their retention and reservoir functions. The goal is to delay the time it takes for rainfall to reach its peak and reduce the peak flood flow, thus alleviating the flood burden on drainage systems and channels. This will enhance flood protection and drainage safety, ultimately safeguarding the lives and property of residents. Furthermore, these retention facilities will be designed for multi-purpose use, integrated with the local area, at both the basic and detailed design levels.
