The purpose of the basic plan for the pilot project on integrated regional water supply in the Jeollanam-do region is to address various issues related to the water supply system, including a detailed review and revision of the water supply and demand outlook, assessment of water supply facilities, capacity estimation, development of a coordinated supply plan, establishment of emergency water supply systems, and adjustment of the water supply system. Despite efforts to ensure the reliability of water quality, problems such as water leakage and public distrust in the water supply have resulted in significant budget expenditures and policy adjustments.

To prevent water leakage and water quality contamination in the water supply process, as well as to efficiently operate and manage water supply facilities, efforts are being made to improve aging water pipes and implement block construction projects. These measures aim to increase the efficiency of water supply, enhance water conservation, and promote the efficiency of water supply management.

Therefore, the basic plan for the pilot project on integrated regional water supply in the Jeollanam-do region has been developed with the goal of alleviating public distrust in the water supply and improving the efficiency of water supply management.
