This project is in line with Cambodia's industrial development policy and fundament energy plan, which to supply high-quality and stable electricity by enabling connection to the national grid network instead of off-grid and self-generation supply within Sihanoukville area.
The construction of 4 new substations and the expansion of 2 existing substations will provide reliable power services and distribute the power currently concentrated at the SHV1 substation, ensuring a stable power supply. This will address issues such as voltage drop, overload of the existing transmission line, and power supply challenges based on load demand forecasting.
