In response to the large-scale development projects and the increasing tourism and residential population within the Seongsan Treatment Area, various measures were taken to improve the environment. These measures included the rehabilitation of sewage pipelines covering a distance of 28.3 km, upgrades to drainage facilities at 598 locations, an assessment of the current state of existing pipelines spanning 14.0 km, and CCTV inspections covering 7.0 km. These efforts were aimed at creating a pleasant environment and safeguarding the coastal waters and underground water resources for a cleaner Jeju.
