The objective of this project is to address the nationwide occurrence and increase of ground subsidence (commonly known as sinkholes) in urban areas, which has led to growing public anxiety and raised social concerns. As a response to the potential for ground subsidence, this project aims to conduct a detailed investigation of aging or defective sewer pipelines, which may contribute to ground subsidence. The goal is to mitigate ground subsidence caused by sewer pipelines and establish a systematic and rapid response system. This will be achieved by examining relevant data and the condition of pipelines and formulating a ground subsidence response plan. This is the primary purpose of this project.
