An environmental impact assessment was conducted for the expansion project of the sewage treatment facility, which is being expanded to address the increased sewage volume due to the population growth in Hanam City.

The purpose of this project is to reduce water quality pollution loading on the downstream area of the Han River, particularly the underwater dam in Jamsil, and to provide an improved living environment for the residents by undergrounding the facilities, which will also create leisure spaces like resting areas for the residents in the upper areas.
