To address the threat to public safety posed by water supply accidents due to aging water pipelines, a fundamental survey of the water supply network and an assessment of the pipeline condition were conducted for 17 local governments in Chungcheong Province. Based on this, a basic plan for the renovation of aging water pipelines was developed to establish an economically viable and secure national water supply network.
