Osong has planned a 100-year project to lead the future of the regional industry, known as the Osong Bio Valley, one of the world's largest bio-industrial complexes. With the development of Osong Bio Valley, which spans approximately 15 million square meters, equivalent to the size of Gangnam-gu in Seoul, the region aims to stimulate local industries and generate a significant number of jobs. Osong Bio Valley can accommodate 210 individual institutions and provide residence for approximately 120,000 bio-research professionals and their families. The master plan breaks down the boundaries between work, leisure, and recreation within three distinct zones, offering a new way of life. The planned three zones progress from Zone 1 to Zone 3. Zone 1 represents the existing state, Zone 2 acts as a buffer between Zone 1 and Zone 3, while also creating a green zone for gradual development and as a stepping stone for the next phase. The ultimate goal, Zone 3, introduces a variety of new facilities for pursuing a different lifestyle, seamlessly integrating with existing facilities and continuing the city's context.
