This is necessary to prevent soil and groundwater pollution due to the elapsed service life and connection point leaks of combined sewage pipelines. It also aims to prevent the intrusion of unknown water sources, such as river water, into the pipelines, which can lead to increased influent flow and reduced treatment efficiency, resulting in higher treatment costs.
