The Guwol Medical Center is designed as a comprehensive medical facility integrating various medical departments such as internal medicine, urology, obstetrics and gynecology, plastic surgery, ophthalmology, otolaryngology, dentistry, pain medicine, and dermatology. The planning of the facility takes into account the medical staff required for each department and meets the needs of patients comprehensively. The continuous solid bands in the vertical direction on the building's exterior create shading, preventing unnecessary solar heat gain from the outdoors. In contrast, the main entrance and shared lobby spaces, spanning two floors in height, are surrounded by highly transparent curtain walls, providing a sense of openness to visitors and ensuring easy accessibility.
