The Noryangjin Fish Wholesale Market is a project that combines the functions of an urban park and an enjoyable marine and seafood complex experience. The goal was to create more than just a simple market but a downtown marine and seafood park, with a focus on providing an enjoyable space that attracts many visitors. To express the freshness and vitality of seafood, the building was shaped to resemble swimming fish and is expected to become a new icon for the Noryangjin area. The overall facility consists of five program groups: wholesale facilities, retail facilities, business facilities, activation facilities, and a rooftop garden. Floor zoning was used to clearly differentiate their functions and enhance operational efficiency. The dynamic flow of visitors revitalizes the entire city. In the pleasant market facility centered around the courtyard, a 'color pathfinding system' is applied to guide people. The building's exterior features over 1,630 square meters of solar BIPV modules, generating more than 134 kW of solar energy per day.
