The plan involves expanding the existing Uljin Public Wastewater Treatment Facility, which was completed in 2006, to increase its capacity from 5,000 cubic meters per day to 9,000 cubic meters per day by the year 2030. This expansion will be carried out to accommodate a treatment area of 548 hectares and serve a population of 17,106 people. The treatment process will utilize MS-BNR (Modified Sequencing Batch Reactor) combined with filtration (MDF) to ensure the discharge of treated wastewater meets appropriate water quality standards when released into the Namdaecheon river.
