Dec. 09, 2024

On December 6, 2024, Kenyan President William Ruto visited the construction site of the Kenya Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST). Accompanied by senior Kenyan government officials, including the Minister and Vice Minister of Information and Communications, as well as the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Kenya, the President inspected the progress of the project, which is scheduled for completion in March 2025, and commended the efforts of the construction and construction management (CM) teams involved.

President Ruto emphasized the importance of close collaboration between construction management (CM) and construction teams, stating, “This project will serve as a vital foundation for Kenya’s scientific and technological advancement.” He highlighted the Kenya Advanced Institute of Science and Technology as a cornerstone for positioning the East African region as a hub for education and research, modeled after Korea’s KAIST. The facility aims to nurture advanced scientific talent and support innovation-driven economic growth.

SUNJIN Engineering, as the project’s construction management (CM) firm, is committed to prioritizing quality and safety throughout the project’s operations, contributing to the realization of Kenya’s national vision. As the project moves towards completion, the company will continue to uphold global standards in construction management (CM) to ensure a successful handover in March 2025.
