This project aims to address severe traffic problems around Pyeongtaek Station and simultaneously establish traffic improvement measures for pedestrian safety. It includes increasing road capacity and enhancing service levels to improve the traffic environment. Additionally, it aims to reduce traffic accidents, conserve energy, and enhance urban competitiveness. To achieve these goals, various traffic engineering techniques were comprehensively reviewed and applied to formulate improvement measures for road facilities and operations. These measures encompass geometric improvements at intersections, parking and stopping controls, traffic circulation controls, lane utilization controls, speed controls, and more.
