The new headquarters of the Korea Gas Corporation (KOGAS), with a scale of approximately 126 meters, is designed in a dramatic mass form. This iconic building represents a new government-owned energy company with significant meaning. The lower floors feature an eco-deck that harmonizes with the surrounding natural environment and creates various outdoor spaces. Additionally, the lower levels include exhibition pavilions, podiums, and other amenities. The upper mass, with 24 stories, serves as an 'Energy Lighthouse,' setting a new standard for sustainable and eco-friendly development projects. It has been transformed into a creative and innovative campus for 3,400 employees. Located in the Daegu Shinseo Innovation City, the iconic KOGAS headquarters is designed as a sustainable, efficient, collaborative, and communicative workspace. It includes an auditorium for seminars and lectures, a podium with dynamic and lively public spaces, and areas that foster community engagement. The tower portion of the KOGAS headquarters is divided into various floor types, reflecting the surrounding area's characteristics. The façade is designed with a curtain wall system that enables energy savings. The curtain wall is supported structurally by diagonal mullions and shading devices that are dispersed and designed in various ways on the building's surface, reflecting the nature of an energy company.
